Hello, I am Lucas Kirtley: a first-year teacher of World History at The School of Hard Knocks. While this is my first year of teaching history, I am veteran traveller and historian. Retired from the Air Force in 2015, I have visited over 23 nations around the world and look forward to sharing my experiences with culture and worldviews with all of you.
In class, we will tour civilizations spanning the breadth of time; however, if you miss any of those tours due to absence, makeup work, notes, videos, and copie sof lectures will be found on this website.
